With increasing globalisation, the average North American consumer can order clothes online today and have them sent straight to their front door tomorrow. Decades ago this would have sounded too good to be true, but today it’s a utopian reality. This speeding up of the fashion cycle is causing overconsumption, leaving our wardrobes bursting with fast fashion and landfills stacking up even higher. To counteract this issue, Take Two seeks to keep already made garments in circulation, hence limiting both production and overconsumption. Take Two curates pre-loved vintage and present pieces, and give customers one of two options. For each collection, they will be able to either rent an unlimited amount of garments for a month, or, purchase a maximum of 2 pieces.
